CORONA VIRUS UPDATE: Creekside Cares intends to comply with all federal, state and local guidelines. The safety of our community and our volunteers is paramount to us. Our meetings are currently suspended and our volunteer assignments at W.G. Pearson are cancelled until our district reopens schools. Please watch this space for updates.

We have continued to sew face masks to help first responders, community organizations and charitable organizations. As of June 13, 2020, we donated over 4,000 masks. Our beneficiaries include the NAACP, Durham Public Library, Eno and Umstead State Parks, W.G. Pearson Faculty and Staff, Interfaith Food Shuttle, Raleigh Homeless, Meals on Wheels, DPS Foundation, and Interact. Help us help ​WG Pearson Elementary and our community.

We want to make a difference in our local community. We have adopted WG Pearson Elementary School. This school is a Title I school and almost 100% of the student body qualifies for FREE breakfast and lunch. These students have been working hard with our community to improve their test scores and reduce their rates of grade retention. With just a little help and interest from our community, we believe we can make a huge difference to these kids. We have been working in the school's food pantry and in the classrooms to make a difference. Won't you join us?

We are hoping to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity during 2020. We are currently conducting a fundraiser. We are making handmade masks available to Creekside residents with a suggested for $10 each.
