Our latest blog post.
Keeping our community covered, one mask at a time.
We have a dedicated team of sewing, cutting, packaging and distributing volunteers who are working diligently to provide masks for our greater community. We hope everyone will stay safe,  and practice the three w's: wear a mask, wait six feet apart and wash your hands.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE: Creekside Cares intends to comply with all federal, state and local guidelines. The safety of our community and our volunteers is paramount to us. Our meetings are currently suspended unless held virtually and all our volunteer assignments at W.G. Pearson are cancelled until our district reopens schools. Please watch this space for updates.

We have continued to sew face masks to help first responders, community organizations and charitable organizations. As of March 4, 2021, we donated over 9,510 masks. Our beneficiaries include the NAACP, Durham Public Library, Eno and Umstead State Parks, W.G. Pearson Faculty and Staff, Inter-faith Food Shuttle, Fayetteville Street Elementary School, Raleigh Homeless, Meals on Wheels, DPS Foundation, USAID East Africa, Interact, Habitat for Humanity ReStore, Durham Children's Initiative, and Dress for Success. Please contact us at lcollege@creeksidecares.org if we can help your organization.

We are an approved charity through the Amazon Smile program. It's easy to support our mission of helping our community by clicking the link to the left. A small portion of your order will donated to us to help us continue our work at W.G. Pearson Elementary, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, Dress for Success and other local charitable organizations.

Help us help WG Pearson Elementary and our community.

We want to make a difference in our local community. We have adopted WG Pearson Elementary School. This school is a Title I school and almost 100% of the student body qualifies for FREE breakfast and lunch. These students have been working hard with our community to improve their test scores and reduce their rates of grade retention. With just a little help and interest from our community, we believe we can make a huge difference to these kids. We have been working our Creekside Cares Cupboard and in the classrooms to make a difference since 2018. Students face new challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Creekside Cares hopes to remain nimble in our ability to step in and help when it is safe for both students and volunteers. We will be focusing our efforts on remote assistance. Won't you join us?
We are now a federally recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization and non-profit corporation in North Carolina  We are a member organization in good standing with the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits.
